The DLA-20 functional assessment fulfills the Maryland Medicaid requirement for a core standardized assessment tool. This training session or an equivalent training session delivered by a credentialed trainer approved by MTM Services is a requirement for all Maryland-based provider agency staff who perform assessments on adults who receive MTS, ACT, PRP, or RRP services within the Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS).
BHA sponsors this training free of charge to eligible Maryland-based provider staff through the University of Maryland School of Medicine Training and Evidence-Based Practice Centers. We are committed to making these trainings accessible to all eligible providers. If you represent an eligible provider agency and would like to discuss accommodations for your staff including requesting training at or closer to your facility, please email us at kris.wright@som.umaryland.edu and provide your agency name, address and the email address for a contact person.
*The DLA–20 is a copyrighted tool available for use after a 4.5-hour training conducted by a credentialed trainer approved by MTM Services. For non-Maryland-based provider agency staff, please contact MTM Services.
All training is currently offered by webinar. Each participant must log in from a laptop or desktop – cell phones and tablets will not work. Participants must log in on time – if you miss 15 minutes or more of the training, you will not be eligible for a certificate.
Contact EBPC@som.umaryland.edu to request accommodations – please allow three days for computer accommodations and three weeks for interpreters.
