Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is one of the oldest and most widely researched evidence-based practices for behavioral health. The model is person-centered and recovery-based, with a transdisciplinary team team providing all needed behavioral health services to those with severe and persistent mental illness.
Co-occurring Disorders Treatment best practices for treatment are integrated. Ideally treatment for both disorders is provided by the same clinician (or team), at the same time. Integrated treatment involves stage-wise treatment, which focuses on the person’s readiness to make any needed changes
Critical Time Intervention (CTI) is a time-limited evidence-based practice providing specialized case management interventions to society’s most vulnerable individuals during periods of transition. To facilitate community integration and continuity of care, the CTI model blends the delivery of intensive supports that meet immediate client needs with assistance aimed at facilitating long-term community integration and continuity of care.
The DLA-20 functional assessment fulfills the Maryland Medicaid requirement for a core standardized assessment tool. This training session or an equivalent training session delivered by a credentialed trainer approved by MTM Services is a requirement for all Maryland-based provider agency staff who perform assessments on adults who receive MTS, ACT, PRP, or RRP services within the Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS).

Person-centered Care Planning (PCCP) is a holistic approach to planning and providing behavioral health services. Person-Centered approaches guide and organize services to increase consumer engagement in service interventions based on the connections between provider interventions and the consumer’s goals and visions.
